Syracuse-based singer-songwriter Jess Novak is hitting the road with multiple live shows across New York this summer, showcasing her blend of soulful vocals and electric violin. Her latest single, “Eve,” released on July 17, offers a darker, more introspective contrast to her previous empowering anthem, “Woman.”
Jess Novak is a powerhouse singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for her electric violin chops, commanding vocals, and captivating songwriting. Whether solo, with a duo, or with her full band, she delivers a dynamic live show that has made her a staple across New York and beyond. Performing more than 150 shows per year, Jess and her band bring resilience and raw energy to every stage. She has 13 albums under her belt and a reputation earned from awards and venues like The Cutting Room in NYC and festivals such as SXSW.
Novak calls “Eve” a “sister” song inspired by “Untamed” by Glennon Doyle and The Book of Eve by Meg Clothier. The track explores female identity, vulnerability, and the journey toward self-empowerment.
Produced by Justin Spaulding, who also worked on Novak’s 2023 EP Sonrise, “Eve” highlights her signature sound. The music video, directed by Dennis Fernando and shot at Tipp Hill Studios in Syracuse, features choreography by SpeakDance CNY, adding a visual depth to the song’s themes.
