Regional Dance America/Northeast (RDA/NE) has announced that its 2026 Regional Festival will take place May 7–9, 2026, in Albany, New York. Performances will be held at The Egg, with official accommodations, classes, and festival activities hosted at the Hilton Albany.
The Regional Festival represents the culmination of a year-long adjudication process in which RDA’s nationally recognized evaluators tour the Northeast to select works by member companies. These adjudicators provide detailed feedback aimed at strengthening artistic development and elevating performance standards across the region.
During the three-day festival, dancers participate in master classes, professional seminars, and college roundtables during the day, followed by evening performances showcasing selected repertory. The event also offers dancers exposure to college and professional training program recruiters, along with opportunities to audition for awards and scholarships. Directors and educators gather to network with established choreographers and leaders in dance education.
Regional Dance America is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting pre-professional dance companies across the United States. Through its regional associations, RDA creates opportunities for artistic growth, professional connection, and performance excellence while fostering the next generation of dance artists.
RDA/Northeast is one of five regional associations and was the second such organization established in the country, hosting its first festival in 1959. Today, RDA/NE serves member companies throughout Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, D.C., continuing its mission to support quality dance education and performance.
Saratoga Springs Youth Ballet will proudly represent New York State as one of the RDA/NE member companies participating in the 2026 festival.
