During the last decade or so, there has been an incredible amount of money, time, and energy put into revitalizing the launch industry, both in the United States and around the world.
Less than a decade ago, no company had ever developed an orbital rocket on its own and successfully launched a payload into orbit.
Moreover, this activity is not just occurring in the United States, but China, Japan, Europe, and elsewhere. These are exciting and turbulent times in the world of launch, with more activity happening now than any period in history, including the 1960s space race.
To try to make some sense of this landscape, Ars began a weekly newsletter called the Rocket Report in May of this year. Now, we’re expanding that project to include a video series that will summarize some of those stories as well as add some new information. This new monthly video series, Delta V, launches today. (See what we did there?) We’ll still be running the Rocket Report every week, and we’d love for you to subscribe to it, but we’ll be taking some of the Rocket Report’s highlights and making a bigger deal out of them with video.
We’re currently planning on running Delta V every few weeks, as the news cycle permits. Your feedback is welcome—please let us know how we can make Delta V better for you!
