Join us Tuesday, May 8 for Google’s biggest show of the year, Google I/O 2018. We’ll be reporting live from the show starting with our keynote live blog, which starts at 10AM Pacific, 1PM Eastern and should last about 90 minutes.
This year Google I/O promises to bring the launch of the second Android P Developer Preview, which is probably picking up iPhone X-style gesture navigation.
We’re expecting to see the unveiling of Material Design 2—Google’s newest iteration of its design language—and probably an Android TV dongle. To prep for the show, you can read all our expectations for Google I/O 2018 right here.
Once again, the show takes place outdoors at Shoreline Ampitheatre, which is just down the road from Google headquarters in Mountain View, Calif. Outdoor tech reporting took a lot of getting used to the first year, but by now we are hardened veterans of this strange clash of technology and nature. We’ll be there with sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hope that the typical 72-and-sunny California weather holds up.
Once the big keynote wraps up, we’ll hopefully have lots of hands-on from the event and maybe even an interview or two. So stay tuned to Ars all week for your fix of Googley coverage.
