Iron Pipeline shutdown: NYC cops make three Midtown gun busts within hours

Cops busted three suspects on weapon possession charges within a few hours in Midtown on Wednesday — just one day after Mayor Eric Adams vowed to crack down on illegal guns flowing into the Big Apple.

Adams, speaking in the wake of the shooting death of NYPD cops Jason Rivera and Wilbert Mora, announced a new initiative to shut down the “Iron Pipeline” of guns into the city.

On Wednesday, cops did their part.

At 8:45 a.m., a 20-year-old Georgia man, Kentavon Shields, was arrested by Port Authority cops at the 8th Avenue bus terminal with a loaded Cobra .380-caliber semi-automatic pistol, police said.
