This fall, Ukrainian music star Artem Pivovarov is bringing his voice and powerful message to North America with his “Orchestra Live” Tour. Creating a defiance of war and maintaining the rich culture of the Ukrainian people, Artem Pivovarov will be beginning his North American tour with New York City at the Brooklyn Steel on September 14.
Artem Pivovarov’s world was drastically changed after his hometown, Vovchansk, was occupied on the very first day of the war, with the city spending almost a year under occupation. Today, Artem is unable to return to his childhood home, which Artem now describes as “a ghost town”.
In April 2022, Artem launched his project “Your Poems, My Notes”. This project turns the works of famous Ukrainian poets like Taras Shevchenko and Lesya Ukrainka, into modern songs. This is one of the many ways that Artem uses music to keep Ukrainian heritage alive for new generations. Having performed in bombshelters, recently liberated areas, and even front lines, Artem Pivovarov continues to perform despite the dangers of war and share his message of Ukrainian resistance.
“I have a mission I must carry — both in Ukraine and beyond its borders. I aim to show the strength of our people — the power of unity. To preserve our rich history. To give our people support.”
Artem Pivovarov
With almost 400 thousand listeners on Spotify, Pivovarov is one the most streamed artists on the air of Ukrainian radio stations. His songs become fast hits, and he is a three time winner of the YUNA award for categories such as “The Best Male Artist”, “Hit of the Year”, and “Contribution to the Popularization of Ukrainian Poetic Classics.
He has also played over 500 concerts worldwide, has over 1.2 billion views on Youtube, was the first Ukrainian to sell out Kyiv’s Palace of Sports during wartime, and performed for over 20 million viewers live in the ring at the Usyk vs. Tyson Fury fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
With his “Orchestra Live” tour of North America, Artem Pivovarov aims to share Ukrainian music and culture with more parts of the world. His message of cultural resistance and voices of the Ukrainian people will echo this fall as Pivovarov takes the stage of the Brooklyn Steel, September 14. Don’t miss your chance to see this one of a kind performer, and to help support the Ukrainian quest for freedom.
