Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio will return to The Beacon Theatre later this year for three shows set for November 28-30. It will be a celebration of the fifth anniversary of his memorable 2020 Beacon Jams residency there which took place over the course of eight consecutive Fridays during the Covid pandemic when live music scarce nationwide. The shows will feature Anastasio in a range of formats each night, including performances with the Trey Anastasio Band and the return of The Rescue Squad Strings.
“The Beacon Jams shows were the most artistically satisfying thing I’ve ever worked on,” Anastasio notes. “They meant so much to everyone involved — not just the audience, but the musicians as well. Everyone was hungry for music and connection, and somehow we found a way to create community in the middle of such a messed-up, isolating moment. Even the name felt meaningful — like we were shining a searchlight into the fog and manifesting something positive out of something so negative.”
Now Anastasio will return to the legendary Beacon Theatre for three more shows which promise to offer a range of styles and musical guests. Proceeds from the shows will benefit the Divided Sky Foundation, a 501c(3) non-profit organization based in Ludlow, VT dedicated to addiction recovery.
