The storied organ‑guitar‑drums trio of Soulive, known for airtight grooves and improvisational fire have returned to the studio, releasing “Baby Jupiter” ahead of the band’s first full-length album, Flowers, since 2011, due out in early 2026.
Recorded at Floki Studios in Iceland, the band has gained a renewed focus shaped by the sessions. Tracked earlier this year and produced/engineered/mixed/mastered by drummer Alan Evans, the single distills the trio’s deep‑pocket interplay of organ, guitar, and drums in lockstep, opening onto the textures born from the Iceland sessions.
Alan Evans shared his thoughts on the new single: “I’m really excited to finally share ‘Baby Jupiter’, the first single from our upcoming Soulive album recorded in Iceland this past June. The song actually started years ago but, like many Soulive tunes, it needed time to find its way to the right album. As I was mixing the song, I was transported back to our first residency at Baby Jupiter in early 2000’s New York — that same energy, joy, and sense of community. The connection was undeniable — Baby Jupiter was the only name that made sense.”

A rare live set is confirmed for Alpenphunk 2026 on January 30, 2026 at the Center for the Arts in Crested Butte, CO. Visit alpenphunk.com for details.
