After returning in June 2025 after a six-year hiatus, Mountain Jam will look ahead to 2027, skipping 2026 altogether as they plan ahead for the next installment of the Catskills music festival.
In a statement on the festival website, founder Gary Chetkof shared the following news:
“Mountain Jam 2025 was truly special — thank you to everyone who came out and made it unforgettable. After much thought, Mountain Jam will take 2026 off and we hope to return in 2027!”
Mountain Jam’s return in 2025 saw the festival’s first time at Belleayre Mountain, bringing in thousands of attendees,
The festival made its big return with a shift to Belleayre Mountain this June, attracting thousands of attendees with the likes of moe., Mikaela Davis, Molly Tuttle and Goose performing over three days.
Mountain Jam was originally held at Hunter Mountain since 2005, when the festival was a one day event, later evolving into a multi-day event that lasted for 14 years. The 2019 edition saw head south to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, before taking a break until earlier this year.
