Celebrated instrumental electronic/jam band Lotus has released “One Word,” the second single off their upcoming studio album, Rise of the Anglerfish, due out February 13.
Lotus is a 4-piece instrumental band, formed over 20 years ago. They were early adopters of fusing Electronic beats with accents of Dance, Jam, Psych-Rock, Post-Rock, Disco, Funk, and Jazz. Since their inception, Lotus has become renowned performers, building a hyper-loyal following wherever they’ve ventured. Their live shows take listeners on a dance-inducing journey of improvisation that can only be described as a one-of-a-kind experience.
They’ve toured actively throughout the U.S., working their way up from dingy basement clubs to world-class venues such as Red Rocks. They’ve become festival favorites, performing at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Electric Forest, and more. Lotus additionally hosts their own annual Summerdance festival in Garrettsville, OH, with a lineup of various Electronic artists.
Rise of the Anglerfish explores a dichotomy between light and dark, blending live guitar, bass, drums, and keys with warped samples, modular synths, and electronic beats. The result is a wide array of colors and styles unique to Lotus.

To support the release, Lotus will embark on a massive 25+ show U.S. tour, kicking off this week in Colorado before running up and down the East Coast with stops from Massachusetts to Florida. Tickets are on sale through the band’s website, here.
