On October 4, Long Island based band Katrina released their rendition of “She’s My Witch,” a well received cover when performed live by the band.
Katrina is a grunge/hard rock band from Merrick/Bellmore Long Island formed by Max Mili (frontman/vocals) and Pinky Poodles (guitar) in June 2025. They often perform at DIY shows across Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Long Island, Oneonta, and the Catskills.
They pride themselves on raw vulnerable lyrics, heavy groovy guitar riffs, and their love for New York. Currently creating their debut album with Jack Gray, their main goal is for their art to serve as a deep and profound emotional connection to their community.

“She’s My Witch” is only their second single released on all platforms. It was originally written and recorded by Kip Tyler in 1958 on the Ooh Yeah Baby LP. In 2025, Katrina’s rendition was recorded with Jack Gray in Virtue and Vice Studios. The band would always play this song as an encore, but it quickly became a fan favorite and the standard opening song at all of their shows.
Katrina’s intention with the song is that fans will be hooked by the dark and sludgy atmosphere of “She’s My Witch”.
