The Hu, Apocalyptica & The Rasmus Unite for Explosive Spring 2026 Tour

Sometimes the most compelling tours are the ones you never saw coming. Spring 2026 will bring together three internationally distinct yet sonically powerful forces as Mongolian rock phenomenon, The Hu, and Finnish cello-metal pioneers Apocalyptica join for a co-headlining U.S. run, with platinum-selling Finnish rock band The Rasmus opening every night. The lineup reads almost like a playlist generated by pure curiosity, and yet, it makes perfect sense for fans hungry for something outside the predictable touring circuit.

The Hu

The tour launches May 12 in Silver Spring, MD, and runs through June 7 in Anaheim, CA, crossing the country with a slate of theater and club dates that promise high-impact performances in intimate settings. But for Empire State heavy music fans, one date stands above the rest: May 13 at Palladium Times Square in New York City.

The New York show arrives early in the run, when energy is fresh, and anticipation is at its peak. Palladium Times Square, with its modern production capabilities and Manhattan backdrop, provides the perfect setting for this three-act international summit. Expect a night that moves seamlessly from cinematic rock to symphonic metal to the thunderous pulse of Hunnu Rock.

The Hu continue riding the momentum from their recent single, “The Real You,” a powerful preview of their upcoming third album, The Hun. The track blends their signature Mongolian instrumentation — including the tovshuur and throat singing — with stronger Western rock elements, signaling an evolution in sound while honoring their roots. The song’s message, inspired by a Mongolian proverb about self-reflection over judgment, adds emotional weight to the band’s already commanding stage presence. In a city as diverse and culturally layered as New York, that fusion feels especially fitting.

Apocalyptica brings more than three decades of boundary-pushing artistry to the bill. Formed in 1993 at Helsinki’s prestigious Sibelius Academy, the classically trained cellists transformed their Metallica tributes into a global career. Their most recent release, Plays Metallica, Vol. 2, reaffirms their place as masters of symphonic heaviness, and hearing those crushing cello arrangements reverberate through a Manhattan venue is reason enough to circle the date.

Opening the evening, The Rasmus adds a polished yet brooding Nordic rock dimension, rounding out a lineup that spans continents but shares a commitment to dramatic, melody-driven intensity.

In a touring landscape often filled with predictable pairings, this package feels refreshingly adventurous. For New York fans especially, May 13 at Palladium Times Square isn’t just another stop on the calendar — it’s a rare convergence of Mongolian tradition, Finnish symphonic metal, and global rock energy landing squarely in the heart of NYC.

Public on-sale begins Friday, February 13 at 10AM local time, with artist presales launching February 11. VIP packages, including meet-and-greet opportunities and exclusive merchandise, will also be available.

Three nations. Three distinct sounds. One Manhattan stage. For New York, this is the date that demands attention.
