The Brooklyn Peace Center has announced the Fourth Annual Jazz Night: Peace on Earth, featuring Michelle Coltrane & Friends, on Saturday, December 13. A beloved Brooklyn tradition, Jazz Night brings together artistry, spirituality, and community in a celebration of peacebuilding through arts & culture.
Headlined by Michelle Coltrane, daughter of the legendary John and Alice Coltrane, the concert will feature a world-class ensemble including Lonnie Plaxico (bass), Jeff “Tain” Watts (drums), Rico Jones (saxophone), and Lafayette Harris (piano).
The evening will also include special collaborations that highlight the transformative power of jazz, featuring a dance program choreographed by Miss Candice Michelle Franklin of Cumbe Rise.
The Turiya Sings Award, which celebrates creative practice as sacred work, rooted in love and liberation, awakening consciousness, cultivating compassion, and harmonizing the human family, the award was established by Brooklyn Peace Center to honor artists and cultural visionaries who embody Turiyasangitananda Alice Coltrane’s spirit of interreligious and intercultural peacebuilding through the arts.

Now in its fourth year, Jazz Night has become a cornerstone fundraiser for Brooklyn Peace Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to peacebuilding, arts, and cultural programming.
Proceeds support year-round initiatives that build peace, make space for creative expressions, and celebrate culture through community.
