On Tuesday, November 11 Song City returned to The Waiting Room in Troy for a monthly event where local musicians are seated in a circle and go around sharing their songs.
This month Song City welcomed Girl Blue, Ryan Clark, Camtron500, and Sabrina Trueheart. These circular concerts create an atmosphere like no other where attendees are able to witness a group of musicians who may or may not have previously crossed paths come together. We hear personal backstories to songs and watch as the group realizes they have songs about similar experiences or feelings, resulting in what feels like a concert of musicians who play together often.

Camtron500 is a rapper based in the Capital Region who has performed at many local events including the 2024 Tulip Festival. Girl Blue, Sabrina Trueheart, and Ryan Clark all shared songs on acoustic guitars. The musicians shared backstories of their songs on mental health, leaving home, and even songs inspired by books.

The next Song City will be held January 13, and the artists will be announced closer to the date.
