Gov’t Mule Begins New York New Years Shows at Proctors

On Sunday December 28 Gov’t Mule made the first stop of their New Years Run at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady. This run is a tribute to “1971: When Music Changed the World” and will be followed by two shows at the Beacon Theater in NYC on December 30 and 31 to kick of the new year.

Gov’t Mule is a southern rock jam band with Warren Haynes as guitarist and lead vocalist along with Matt Abts on drums, percussion and vocals. They have since been joined by various artists but currently tour with Danny Louis on keyboards guitar trumpet and vocals along with Kevin Scott on bass.

The band has a full discography including Live Recorded albums of their New Year’s shows in previous years. Gov’t Mule has created a fanbase of all ages as their shows are an exciting atmosphere of kindhearted indviduals who come togther with their love of the music. Gov’t Mule is known for their loyalty to fans as their constantly touring.

The band delivered two sets before welcoming special guest Reeves Gabrels who has worked with the band before and last joined them live at the 2023 Jazz Fest. The band took to Instagram post show stating, “You never know what could happen on a New Year’s run”.
