Adam Tilzer, a New York native, is a highly prolific producer and engineer with over 2 decades and 300 songs to his credit. Better known for his work with bands like The Defectives, he’s finally stepping into the spotlight with his debut solo album, “Cult Leader”.
This experimental rock album, featuring 10 different songs, explores societal issues with an aggressive yet heartfelt punk edge, featuring over two dozen contributing artists. Often, he describes the album as a deeply personal journey, marking a significant milestone in his career. His versatility as both a musician and producer is evident within the album.

Adam Tilzer’s performance opened with “Choking on Vomit,” immediately grabbing the audience’s attention and transitioning into “I’m Gonna Start a Cult.” Throughout the performance, the energy remained high and continued to escalate, with tracks such as “The Best Fucking Plan” and “Can’t Be Wrong” showcasing his range. Finally, bringing his set to a powerful close with songs such as “Burn it Down” and “And I’ll Die,” he left an incredibly lasting impression on the audience.

While Adam Tilzer was the main act, Sydney Dalessi opened for him with her blend of indie pop and pop. Her emotionally charged vocals and relatable lyrics created an intimate atmosphere. Showing her talent as a performer and songwriter.

Sydney Dalessi’s performance began with the touching “Somebody’s Brother” and moved into the melancholic “Bluest.” Her setlist highlighted her emotional depth with tracks like “The Fool” and “Temporary High,” while building to the vulnerable “Weak.” A notable moment was her rendition of Radiohead’s “Fake Plastic Trees,” which she seamlessly incorporated into her narratives, such as “Friend Sometimes” and the closing “Charlie.”

Following Sydney Dalessi’s intimate opening, the atmosphere shifted with Bobby Mahoney. Injecting the venue with a burst of energy, with his raw, electrifying sound. The transition was a seamless switch from tranquility to the pandemonium of rock. Immediately capturing the audience’s attention and preparing them for a show unlike anything imagined.

Bobby Mahoney’s set was a showcase of his band’s powerful presence, starting strong with “Empty Passenger Seats.” Effectively building momentum through tracks like “Moth to a Flame” and “Shot in the Dark.” The crowd responded in kind, roaring to fan favorites such as “Lay It on Me.” Followed closely by a rendition of Neil Young‘s “Rockin’ in the Free World.” The band maintained their intensity with “38 Special” and a classic, “Another Deadbeat Summer.” Leaving the audience with a powerful finish, the band performed “We Go On” and “Roaring Twenties,” leaving the crowd energized.

The Evening had a potent lineup: Sydney Dalessi set the mood with her heartfelt indie-pop. Followed by Bobby Mahoney’s alt-rock and finally concluded by Adam Tilzer with a raw and intense performance of his debut rock album, “The Cult Leader.”
