Make way for a new realm of rap with D’Chrome Foster as he explores nihilism in “Gang”.
A soliloquy of how black men experience trauma and how it affects their identity. Spot lighting the traps of society, where any option is a double edged sword because culture mentally shapes their perception with illusions. “Gang” taps into nihilism, fame, art and the act of self destruction, as D’Chrome, channels his personal struggles into a piece of art that can be relatable to all black men.
Undoubtedly, D’Chrome Foster is not your atypical rap artist who crafts songs around surface level topics but instead uses his platform to dig a little deeper. To be honest I personally enjoy his songs Cyanide and Manhood more than his new single “Gang”.
“Gang” does have a simpler beat, a catchy hook and repetition that makes it more radio worthy but as an artist myself I feel like the song misses an element of rawness. I want more emotion and feeling when I think of trauma, nihilism, and self destruction because they are extremely powerful feelings.

Regardless of my personal opinion and feelings I have no doubt that D’Chrome Foster has the makings of an influential and powerful artist. One that can craft, mold and uplift his listeners as he uplifts himself. Which makes me excited to see where he goes next.
