The 10th annual Love Rocks NYC benefit concert for God’s Love We Deliver has announced its lineup for Thursday, March 5, at the Live at Beacon Theatre. This year features exciting artists such as Paul Simon, Linda Perry, Trombone Shorty, and more.
God’s Love We Deliver is an organization that prepares and home-delivers nutritious, medically tailored meals for New Yorkers experiencing illness. The organization was initially founded in 1985 to assist individuals during the AIDS pandemic, and has continued to grow since then. God’s Love has a community of 20,000 volunteers who are delivering around 4 million meals a year.
Love Rocks NYC concerts, in support of God’s Love We Deliver, first launched in 2017. They have featured amazing lineups and have raised $65 million, which has funded 6.5 million meals. The Love Rocks NYC concerts have been the most impactful fundraising movement for the organization.
This year, the concert includes an all-star lineup. Will Lee (The CBS Orchestra) is the music director and Band leader. The concert will feature Billy F Gibbons, Elvis Costello, Goo Goo Dolls, Hozier, Jon Batiste, Linda Perry, Mary J. Blige, Nile Rodgers and CHIC, Paul Simon, Reservation Hall Jazz Band, Susanna Hoffs, Trombone Shorty, and Warren Haynes. More artists and performers will perform, along with surprise special guests.
The co-executive producer of Love Rocks NYC, Greg Williamson, stated, “For the past ten years, my co-executive producers Nicole Rechter, John Varvatos, and I have been on an incredible journey building and growing an unforgettable music experience-one that we are immensely proud of. As a native New Yorker, it has been a privilege to create such a meaningful platform to raise both funds and awareness for an essential organization that supports our fellow New Yorkers.”
