The 2022-23 NBA season tipped off Thursday night with four of the top teams in action. The Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers are Atlantic Division favorites as they battle in the first game of the season. The Celtics are a leading favorite to return to the NBA finals for the second straight season, but a slight second choice behind the Eastern Conference favorite Milwaukee Bucks. The defending champion Golden State Warriors battle the Los Angeles Lakers in the Oct. 18 nightcap, and the Warriors are leading contenders again and co-favorites to win the Western Conference with the Los Angeles Clippers.
