Sporting goods provider PUMA revealed 11 new international soccer kits for nations such as Portugal, Morocco and Egypt during a reveal event on Thursday at Domino Square in New York City.
Uniforms created for Ghana, Paraguay, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, New Zealand and Austria are also part of this collection. Legendary players Ricardo Quaresma (Portugal), Asamoah Gyan (Ghana) and El Hadji Diouf (Senegal) were in attendance to represent their nations and celebrate with fans.
“The culture of Football is what drives us, and this collection reflects that commitment. Equipping nations across four continents with close to a quarter of all nations heading into this summer’s biggest competition wearing PUMA, we’re showing up at football’s biggest moment, reinforcing PUMA’s position as one of the leading brands pin international football,” PUMA vice president Teamsport Dominique Gathier said.

The local reveal event was intended to give community members a chance to wear the jerseys as they walk the busy streets of New York City. A series of custom-designed trucks was on display, each representing one of the 11 nations. Local food, music, and cultural artifacts were on display for fans to interact with.
“We wanted to connect with the fan communities by showing up in the places and moments that matter to them. The event was built on that belief, offering local players the chance to experience these fresh new kits in action before anyone else,” PUMA vice President of Global Brand Marketing Nadia Kokni said.
The brand’s African partner federation, including Ghana, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco and Egypt, is the most prominent in the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Portugal is also one of its more notable partners.
The event marks the first public look at PUMA’s new national kit collection, while they will be available starting Tuesday.
