Pulling back the curtain on Broadway

Second only to NY1’s Frank Dilella, there may be no bigger fan and historian of Broadway than Seth Rudetsky. Born in Queens, and a musician on Broadway himself, he’s been interviewing stars for 20 years.

Broadway is back, so Rudetsky spoke with NY1 about the shows he’s excited about, his favorite backstage stories, and preview his upcoming Broadway-inspired show.

Rudetsky says that after seeing “Hair” when he was four-years-old led him to become obsessed with Broadway.

Right now, he recommends seeing “Dear Evan Hansen” and “Come From Away” before they close. But if you can’t make those, some great new shows like “1776” and “Almost Famous” are opening.
