It was Serena Williams’s night. Celebrities and politicians thronged the opening night of the U.S. Open on Monday, many dressed in pink — Ms. Williams’s favorite color. They cheered her on and helped raise $3 million for the United States Tennis Association Foundation, which supports underprivileged youth.
Dr. Barbara Sturm, the German aesthetics doctor, held a dinner at Shou Sugi Ban House in the Hamptons to celebrate her skin care line on Amazon’s Luxury Stores. The Aug. 25 dinner featured an “anti-inflammatory” menu and lots of formal dresses.
