NEW YORK – It was a matinee day – standing room only on the Lower East Side on Saturday as New Yorkers were treated to an impromptu performance by two of Broadway’s best.
The concert was part of the NY PopsUp Festival, a new program dedicated to help reviving the arts in New York. Tony winner Gavin Creel and “Wicked” alum Shoshana Bean took center window at 81 Essex Street.
I caught up with Gavin right before his show, which he called a rehearsal exhibition, and we had to get creative for the interview with COVID-19 safety measures strictly in place.
