Husband and wife songwriting Team Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez were surprised at the huge response to their song Agatha All Along in “WandaVision” on Disney+.
But the Lopezes also say it’s not surprising because they used the same motif or sequence of notes in all the songs in the show, and so by the time we heard it in Agatha All Along we were primed for it.
It’s known as The Devil’s Interval in music theory.
The Lopezes also give credit to the arrangers the show’s producers and actress Kathryn Hahn, who plays Agatha. They say even though she recorded the song remotely, she added so much excitement and that’s
