NEW YORK – The new disaster film “Greenland” is filled with heart-pounding action and big budget effects, but stars Gerard Butler (“Olympus Has Fallen,” “Geostorm”) and Morena Baccarin (“Homeland,” “Deadpool”) say it also has a hopeful message.
Butler and Baccarin star as husband and wife as their family tries to survive a planet-killing comet heading straight for earth. Baccarin told NY1’s George Whipple about the film and why people will connect with it.
“What will compel people to watch the movie and connect with the film is that it’s a sort of a spectacular and thrilling ride while we’re also really connected with strife of the people,”
