Mitski Makes Residency Plans Around New LP

Mitski will celebrate her upcoming Dead Oceans album Nothingʼs About To Happen To Me with spring and summer tour dates, many of which are part of multi-night runs in cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Sydney. The artist has also released a second single from the Feb. 27 LP, “I’ll Change for You,” and a video directed by Lexie Alley.

Mitski’s tour dates kick off with six shows at the Shed in New York’s Hudson Yards from March 2-4, 6-7 and 9 and will finish July 21 in Singapore. Tickets go on sale Feb. 13, and Sex Week, Gustaf, La Zorra Zapata, Haley Heynderickx, Maria Somerville, Tarta Relena and Gwenifer Raymond will support at various points.

Nothing’s About To Happen To Me is described as “a rich narrative whose main character is a reclusive woman in an unkempt house. Outside of her home, she is a deviant; inside of her home, she is free.” All songs were written by Mitski, while Patrick Hyland produced and engineered.

It’s the follow-up to 2023’s The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, which debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200.
