As audiences brace for the winter months, things get a little more fun as The Park Theater Foundation brings comedy, folk, and jazz to Glens Falls. Running from January 30 through February 27, the venue offers a range of performers across multiple genres.
On January 30, David Drake featured on Comedy Central, HBO, Sirius XM, Cracked, Don’t Tell, and Fox will trigger such a laughter that it cuts through the winter air. Named one of Complex Magazine’s “Comics to Watch Under 30” and the New York Comedy Festival’s “Comics to Watch,” Drake brings a smart observational style that Humorism calls “endlessly watchable.” His niche within New York’s comedy scene is special in a way that he feels distinctly New York, his comedy is clever, quick-witted, and finely tuned.

On February 5, folk duo Newberry & Verch bring a sense of warmth and tradition to The Park Theater. The duo makes nostalgic folk music feel alive, drawing from traditional North American roots while pairing fiddle, banjo, step dance, and storytelling. Feeling like a memory of what folk music once was, yet still rhythmically bright. Their work has earned them spots at major folk and roots festivals across North America and Europe, inviting audiences to their version of musical home.

On February 19, Jazz Night leans into winter’s mood, pairing cool nights with warm, expressive sound. Featuring the Galen Pittman Quartet, the evening showcases piano, saxophone, bass, and drums making music that feels intimate and cozy, highlighting the depth of jazz talent in the Capital Region.

On February 27, The Park Theater presents Comedy After Dark, featuring acclaimed comedian, Erik Bergstrom. With dry delivery and thoughtful humor, Bergstrom offers the kind of comedy suited for a winter night after dark. He has called NYC home for 17 years and has been doing stand-up comedy for 15 years. Bergstrom has been featured at major comedy festivals including New York, Boston, Brooklyn, Laughing Skull, and Undertow.
