To start the night, 95X featured three bands in the early stages of their careers, who, through social media, gained traction in the last year. Bike Routes from New Jersey opened first, bring a electric performance. Out in Front followed them up, and the female-fronted band drew many fans in as the lead singer, Madie, commented to the audience after seeing their t-shirts. Edgehill is best known for their single “Doubletake,” which was the last to follow before the main act. The reaction from the crowd was explosive at this point in anticipation.

The Paradox, an Atlanta-based group, got their start posting pop punk covers such as Green Day’s “Basket Case”. This led the band’s video to be shared by Billie Joe Armstrong, who then invited them to open for Green Day in Atlanta.

As The Paradox entered the stage, fans against the barricade jumped and screamed, and as soon as the lights came on, the band broke into their song “Get The Message.” This song refers to defying expectations, which they did Saturday night. Lead singer Eric Dangerfield encouraged fans to mosh and leave everything at home for the night.

Throughout the set, the band and audience interacted with each other through jokes and even singing “Happy Birthday” to a fan. The band opted not to do an encore, but after “Do Me Like That,” they signed hats, shoes, and photos. Leaving the venue, there was not a person without a smile on their face, and talking with others about how the night was so much fun.
