Saturday, August 30th, saw Baltimore pop-punk veterans All Time Low take over Suburban Park at The Great New York State Fair, delivering a night full of energy, humor, and plenty of sing-a long’s.
Before the band even hit the stage, fans were already crowding the standing area and filling the stands. By the time the lights went down and the clock struck 8:00 PM, it was a sea of people eagerly waiting. The band launched straight into “Suckerpunch,” immediately followed by fan-favorite “Weightless,” which had the crowd belting out every lyric in unison.
Throughout the set, the band mixed their signature high-energy performance with plenty of playful banter. At one point, front man Alex Gaskarth and guitarist Jack Barakat went back and forth in a hilarious pirate-themed skit while trying to talk about the band’s upcoming tour. The duo’s chemistry had the crowd laughing just as much as they were singing.
The lighthearted chaos continued with the band’s onstage companions for the evening—a stuffed panda and a Pikachu plush—adding to the fun, carefree vibe All Time Low is known for. In true State Fair spirit, Alex even joked about their adventures around the grounds earlier in the day, including witnessing the fair’s famous cow birthing exhibit.
Of course, the concert was just one part of the fair experience. Beyond the music, fans could take in everything the State Fair has to offer: photo booths, games galore, two Ferris wheels providing stunning views of the grounds, and a huge variety of food options. From gyros and deep-fried Oreo’s to pizza and local favorite Tully’s, there was something for everyone.
The Great New York State Fair once again proved to be more than just rides and food—it’s a celebration of community, culture, and live music. With All Time Low delivering an unforgettable night, it was the perfect blend of fairground fun and festival-sized energy.
