Jingle Legend Ritz Carlton Revives Cassettes With New Tape

Jingle legend Ritz Carlton is reviving cassettes with a new tape titled, Ritz Carlton Plays the Hits — Indian Ladder Farms Greatest Jingles.

Known across the region for his offbeat and infectious jingles, this latest release contains a cassette tape full of Ritz Carlton’s catchy Indian Ladder Farms jingles, which will be celebrated with a release party hosted by Indian Ladder Farms on July 10 at 6 p.m. This event features a live performance from Ritz himself, donning his iconic 1970s bedazzled blue tuxedo, and Albany-based band The Sugar Hold.

With Ritz Carlton Plays the Hits — Indian Ladder Farms Greatest Jingles, Ritz has carved out a niche for himself in a world of annoyingly repetitive jingles with catchy tunes “Apples and Beer” and “Baby Animal Days” and party anthems “Picklepalooza” and “Farming Man.”

Ritz’s hit jingles have stretched beyond the region to 102.7 WEQK, an alternative radio station based in Manchester, Vermont, with his tracks earning a spot on the station’s “Top 5 at 5” chart. Ritz’s recent successes have lead him to stages far from the Capital Region, performing on Little Stevie’s Underground Garage Cruise alongside acts like Social Distortion, X and the Fleshtones, as well as performances at various events including the Hukilau Tiki Weekender in Florida and the Azkena Rock Festival in Spain.

Setting Ritz further apart from the monotony of typical jingles is the resurrection of the popular 1980s technology, the cassette tape; a unique touch that is merely another drop in the novelty bucket that makes Ritz Carlton the performer he is.
