For a holiday about love, Valentine’s Day gets a lot of hate. And look, I kinda get it. Maybe you think it’s a fake, commercialized holiday, maybe it’s a cruel reminder of your perpetual singlehood, or maybe you just think it’s tacky. But take it from me, a former V-Day skeptic myself. the only thing more basic than Valentine’s Day is hating Valentine’s Day. Sure, as a holiday, it’s mid at best. But it’s also a reminder to let your friends, family, and significant others know how much you care about them—and really, what’s so cringe about that? Also, chocolate. Just saying.
