Brookfield lands $438M to finance South Bronx megaproject

Brookfield Properties has landed about $438 million in financing from Apollo Global Management for the next phase of its megaproject in the South Bronx.

The loan is for the part of Brookfield’s Bankside project at 101 Lincoln Ave., property records show. The 921-unit building will span 982,000 square feet and stand 26 stories and 285 feet tall.

Scott Weiner, partner and head of commercial real estate debt at Apollo, said the company was happy to support Brookfield’s Bronx project. Brookfield declined to comment on the financing.
