Jonathan Steinberg, husband of Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, risks being ejected from the management suite at WisdomTree Investments.
WisdomTree specializes in creating exchange-traded funds, or ETFs—a hot commodity on Wall Street—but the company’s stock price has eroded by 80% since 2015. The firm’s largest shareholder says time is up for Steinberg, its founder.
ETFS Capital, which disclosed this month it had amassed a 10.5% stake, intends to nominate two directors at the upcoming annual meeting, WisdomTree said in a statement Friday. One nominee is intended to replace Steinberg, the Financial Times reported.
