Last month, chart-topping Afrorave artist Rema appeared at the Beaufort Bar at the Savoy hotel. He was appearing alongside Debbie, one of Def Jam’s newest artists. It was the launch of Center Stage, a new global programme from the Fairmont group of hotels.
The Savoy is not alone. Recently, the Standard Hotel turned over one of its rooms to the Retiring Room, a sound and light installation, created by lighting designer Ben Donoghue and musician and composer Toby Young.
