In January, Crowne Plaza HY36, a hotel between Times Square and Hudson Yards, had more requests for future bookings than ever before in its five-year history.
This month will be its strongest February ever.
“Demand is so pent up,” said John Beck, the hotel’s general manager. Both business and leisure groups are descending on the city, he said, seeking the chance to socialize and taking advantage of bargain prices at hotels and activities.
