Gala-going New Yorkers have a full schedule this spring, as philanthropic events appear ready to resume their pre-2020 pace.
The 600 partygoers heading to the sold-out City Harvest Gala on April 26, its first annual gala since 2019, are part of the momentum.
“New York is as great and sexy as ever, and people are feeling philanthropic,” said Josh Wood, one of the event’s producers.
In 2019 the annual gala raised nearly $4.1 million for City Harvest, the largest food-rescue organization in the city. That was enough to provide more than 14 million meals to New Yorkers in need.
