Slate, RiseBoro push forward on massive Brooklyn affordable housing project

Slate Property Group and RiseBoro Community Partnership are moving ahead with their huge affordable housing project in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

The development team filed plans with the Department of Buildings on Monday for its 215-unit, roughly 160,000-square-foot project at 326 Rockaway Ave. The firms hope to break ground by the end of the year and finish construction by mid-2025, according to a representative for Slate.

The development will stand 14 stories and 155 feet tall and be split between about 75,000 square feet of residential space and 81,000 square feet of community space, according to the filing. Aufgang Architects is the architect of record, and the project should
