Just two available Class A industrial sites remain in the city: report

New York is continuing to struggle with a severe lack of supply in its industrial market. Just two Class A warehouses were available at the end of the first quarter of 2022, according to a report from CBRE.

Firms leased about 620,000 square feet of industrial space during the first quarter of the year, down 13% quarter over quarter and 28.8% year over year, the report says. The availability rate across all types of industrial space was just 7%, also down quarter over quarter and year over year, while the rate for Class A space was just 1.7%, according to the report.
