Jan. 6 committee signals it could hold Rudy Giuliani in contempt

The Jan. 6 committee cracked open the door to contempt proceedings against former President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, after he indicated he intends to bail on a scheduled Friday interview with the panel.

“Mr. Giuliani is an important witness to the conspiracy to overthrow the government and he remains under subpoena,” committee spokesperson Tim Mulvey said in a statement. “If he refuses to comply the committee will consider
