Friday marked the beginning of a new era for the city’s hospitality industry.
As Mayor Eric Adams announced the end of a program that required indoor businesses to ask customers for proof of vaccination, the city’s restaurants, bars and experiences said they were anticipating brisker business as more tourists could return. The rule change could also lead to a rise in corporate event bookings, business owners said.
