Brooklyn-based Belgian snacks and breakfast firm raises $7M

A Brooklyn firm cooking up a market for European snacks and breakfast items in the American mainstream has raised a new round of funding from an established New York snacks founder.

The five-year-old company Belgian Boys now has $7 million to help it grow its team and ratchet up its merchandising to grow beyond its current base of 5,000 stores.

The founder of New York-based Kind Snacks, Daniel Lubetzky, who also appears on Shark Tank, led the round through his firm, Equilibra Ventures.
