Deborah Birx, the former White House coronavirus response coordinator, said she felt “paralyzed” when then-President Donald Trump infamously suggested injecting disinfectants as a Covid-19 treatment during a White House press conference in April 2020.
Birx, in interviews with ABC News and “Good Morning America” ahead of the release of her new book, also called the moment a “tragedy on many levels.”
