Reunited: Acid Bath set to play Sharkey’s Event Center in Liverpool

For the first time in 28 years, Louisiana natives Acid Bath are play at a select number of shows in North America.

On Friday, Sept. 13, Acid Bath will be supported by High On Fire and Windhand at Sharkey’s Event Center in Liverpool. High demand forced the band to announce more dates across the country.

Acid Bath formed back in 1991 in the bayou of Louisiana. As they released their follow-up record to When the Kite String Pops, little did they know that 1996’s Paegan Terrorism Tactics would be their final record. Bassist Audie Pitre was killed by a drunk driver on a Sunday afternoon and by 1997, the band disbanded. The guitarist, Sammy Duet, went on to form Goatwhore, while singer Dax Riggs and guitarist Mike Sanchez did Agents of Oblivion. Riggs also formed Deadboy & the Elephantmen and now releases music under his own name.

For fans of the band Upstate, this will be their only chance to catch the band. Once 2025 is wrapped up, they head to Europe to join System of a Down and Queens of the Stone Age for a highly anticipated show. Other fans in the lower part of New York will get the chance to catch the reunion at the Starland Ballroom in Sayerville, New Jersey, on March 7, 2026.

Acid Bath’s show on Sept. 13 is a rain-or-shine, all-ages show. Doors open at 6 p.m. and General Admission and a limited number of Reserved Seated tickets are available in advance. Click HERE for tickets.
