Lakeview officially kicked off their 2026 Tour last weekend in New York. On Friday, February 13th, Jesse and Luke performed at Touch of Texas in Binghamton. Despite the frigid temperature, over 1,000 people came out to see the country-rock duo.
Jesse Denaro and Luke Healy are the voices behind Lakeview. The two friends coincidentally met while on separate tours. By 2019, the duo came together and officially formed Lakeview. They’ve been making a big splash ever since. Their blend of country, rock, and metal music is evident in each of their songs. This blend of genres along with their lyrics resonate with a lot of people. Together, Lakeview has over 130M+ streams and sold out shows across the country and in Europe. They’ve also toured with Breaking Benjamin, Staind, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Chase Matthew. Speaking of, Lakeview will be returning to Europe this summer.

Touch of Texas is exactly what you think it is – a touch of country in the middle of Upstate NY. The venue is home to a massive dance floor and stage for live music. Even if there isn’t a show going on, Touch of Texas is known as popular place for line dancing. They have some other big shows coming up over hte next few months including LANCO, George Birge, and Mitchell Tenpenny and a great place to see well-known artists.
The venue was packed with Lakeview fans. For saying it was a cold winter night, the energy in the room was electric and packed well before the show started. There were groups of people that drove hours to see Lakeview and there were college students from the local colleges looking for a fun night out. I always love walking around concerts before they begin and overhear how people end up in the same place at the same time.

The night started with a stellar performance by local southern-rock band, Junkyard Heights. What started as a trio has since evolved into a 5-piece band. Like Lakeview, Junkyard Heights is rooted in their country and rock with added flares of blues music. They performed a mixture of their own original music with some covers here and there. I have to say, their cover of “Mississippi Queen” was really well done. The crowd particularly went crazy for their cover of “Sweet Home Alabama.” You can tell that everyone was really enjoying their performance, even songs that they didn’t know all the words to. I think it’s fair to say that Junkyard Heights gained a lot of new fans on Friday night.

Shortly after, it was time for Lakeview to take the stage and let’s just say the crowd was ready for them. Their set featured crowd favorites like “Hometeam” and “Wrong Side of the Tracks.” It also featured some new songs like “Sorry,” which was released in between tours. I’ve been to a few Lakeview shows so far and I always am impressed with how energetic and present the entire band is. There’s not a single moment when Jesse and Luke aren’t jumping along or engaging with the crowd. It really raises the energy in the room in a way that a lot of other artists don’t do.
As of now Lakeview doesn’t have any additional shows in New York scheduled for this tour, however they have been adding some shows lately. We shall see…
