On Friday, July 25, concert goers were slaughtered, left for dead but resurrected by Hatebreed at Water Street.
Undoubtedly being resuscitated back to life by Hatebreed’s electric chaos, intense vocals, and relentless charisma, amplified by Water Street Music Hall’s brand new state of the art sound system. Adding dimension and depth to how you experience the music that could be vibrationally felt deep into the crowd.
Subsequently, the headliner not only played their early music, they honored it. Paying homage to the past, the importance of the craft, the love of the initiation and a love for the crowd. As a result, the room imploded like the confetti that rained down from the ceiling. Busting through barriers of time, space, and reality; for the only thing that mattered was the music and the camaraderie. As music is what brings people together and allows them to connect on a deeper level.

Undoubtedly, Hatebreed is known for inadvertently wrecking The Armory’s stage back in August 2022. An incident that caused the cancellation of Anthrax and Black Label Society for that evening. A moment that raged concert goers because a refund was never given by the venue. Well, to make up for the incident, Dan Lilker of Anthrax, jumped onto the stage to play some S.O.D. with Hatebreed.

Ultimately, the Summer Slaughter Tour dragged into town: Pure Bliss, Incite, Snuffed on Sight, Gridiron, and Bleeding Through to the Water Street stage. The evening was a non-stop hard core, heavy metal, phenomenon that brought the crowd to a roar. Inciting mosh pit fury, crowd surfing glory, and fists raised proudly into the air as the crowd head banged to the beat.
