Cash Bribe returns with their latest EP, Demonomics, their first release with label Futureless. Leading up to the drop, the band shared the single “Bay of Pigs” and a video for the title track, offering an early glimpse at their sharpest and most furious work yet.
Formed in Brooklyn in 2019, Cash Bribe broke out with their debut EP Facemask City in 2022. The follow-up, Escape From New York (2023), was self-released to critical acclaim, landing a Bandcamp ‘New and Notable’ nod and single premieres via Metal Injection and Decibel Magazine. The band features Joey Dahlstrom on vocals, Kirk McGirk on guitar, Brian Jackson on bass, and Larry Koch on drums.
Hardcore with a classic punk spirit, always pushing the envelope of noisiness without ever fully abandoning traditional song structures.
New Noise
A follow-up to 2023’s Escape From New York (Fanxdangxo Records), Demonomics sharpens Cash Bribe’s sound while doubling down on their ferocity. Recorded with Zach Miller (ex-Gel) at Landmine Studios—home to sessions by hardcore heavyweights like Year of the Knife and 25 Ta Life—the EP delivers with unrelenting force.

This time out, Cash Bribe expands their sonic arsenal. The title track and “Faith Aversion” lean into heavier, more metallic riffs, driving their sound into darker, more aggressive territory. “Bay of Pigs,” by contrast, hits with low-tuned swagger and rock’n’roll snarl. Fans of mid-era Black Flag or the noisy hardcore of Cursed and Blacklisted will feel right at home.
Leading up to the EP, Cash Bribe released the single “Bay of Pigs,” which captures the band’s raw energy and biting social commentary. Guitarist Kirk McGirk explains the inspiration behind the track, pointing to the frustration many feel about the current state of power and manipulation:
“One thing that really gets to me about the world today is how the rich, powerful, and privileged constantly gaslight everyday people—making us believe everything’s fine or that there’s nothing wrong. It’s like they’re pissing on your head and telling you it’s raining. Some folks have a real stake in keeping the rest of us from trusting what we see and feel.”
Musically, “Bay of Pigs” stands out as a fierce statement that sets the tone for Demonomics. The accompanying music video matches the track’s intensity with striking, gritty visuals that complement the song’s message.
Lyrically, Demonomics takes aim at the crushing grip of the billionaire class and the systems built to keep everyone else complacent. It’s a raw, unfiltered critique set against some of the band’s most punishing material to date.
Cash Bribe’s Demonomics EP, out on June 13, will be available to stream on all platforms. A limited edition of the Demonomics LP is available on “Eco Citrus” vinyl, with only 100 copies pressed. To celebrate the release, the band will perform at Lucky 13 Saloon in Brooklyn on June 13, sharing the stage with Expollutants, Circle Breaker, and Fuckcrusher.
