Music icon Bob Dylan spent two days at White Lake Studios in Colonie this past week, marking a significant moment for the Upstate New York recording facility.
The visit which took place on August 5 to 6, days after Dylan’s performance at Outlaw Music Festival at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC). The visit included members of Dylan’s band and was conducted under privacy and discretion.

White Lake Studio’s team worked efficiently in advance to prepare for the musician’s arrival. While specific details of the sessions remain confidential, the studio emphasized the importance of providing a welcoming and professional environment for all artists.

White Lake Studios is a multi-room recording and audio post production facility based in Colonie. The studio employs 18 professionals and features and a label division. Its artists include five-time Billboard Top 40 performers Jocelyn & Chris and Glen Falls native Margo Macero. Beyond music, White Lake provides audio services for major film and television production, including The White Lotus (HBO), Stranger Things (Netflix), and more.
Dylan, an American singer-songwriter, is widely regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of all time. His career spans over 68 years and is one of the best-selling music artists in history, with an estimated 125 million records sold.

Though the nature of Bob Dylan’s work at the studio has not been publicly disclosed, the visit reinforces White Lake Studios’ growing reputation as a premier destination for world-class artists across genres.
