Blue Skies & Sun-Drenched Skin: Sea.Hear.Now Festival 2025

Surf, Sand & Live Music…honestly, what can get better?

Barricade at Sublime: Sunday, September 15

This past weekend, September 13 & 14, over 35,000 music lovers gathered down on New Jersey’s Shoreline, in Asbury, for the Seventh Installment of Sea.Hear.Now. Expanding beyond the basics of a typical Music Festival, recognizable rock photographer, Danny Clinch and city promoter, Tim Donnelly brought together Art, Sound, and Community.

This year’s fest spanned across three stages with a total of 30 bands, situated between the sandy shore and boardwalk. Music ranged from rock, hip-hop, alternative, folk and instrumental. In addition, between sets, fans were welcome to check out the local surfing competition, or view Clinch’s pop-up gallery (the spot for surprise musical appearances and special artwork). Visual Artist Pork Chop’s Jellyfish Installation and Surfboard arch were also on display, a beacon to the Festival’s center.

The energy was constant and never ending as listeners cheered on performances by LCD Soundsystem, Royal Otis, Alabama Shakes, Lenny Kravitz, Sublime, and Phantogram (to name a few). The boardwalk was constantly packed, people rushing two and fro, itching to catch as many acts as they could. At barricade, the crowd tossed various beach balls in the air, jumping in time to the addicting sound pouring off the stage. Plus, if two whole days of music wasn’t enough, attendees had the option to check out ticketed “Late Night” shows at the local Wonderbar and The Stone Pony.

Hozier: Saturday, September 14

When the sun began to set, and a pink/orange hued sunset overtook the sky, listeners crowded together for headliners Hozier and Blink-182. Sparks of blue and red lit up the darkness as Sea.Hear.Now concluded with a fireworkshow spanning across Surf Stage. A perfect ending to summer and a jam-packed musical weekend.
