This Is Where You're Most Likely to Be Struck by Lightning, CDC Says

In late July, Brent and Kristen Jerome were the victims of a tragedy. The couple was vacationing with their children on Sanibel Island in Florida when they were struck by lightning. Brent died four days later, on July 29, while Kristen continues to recover. The couple’s children, aged two and five, were luckily unharmed in the incident, but bore witness to it.

“Words fail to capture the grief, sadness, anger, and shock that his family, his friends, and this church are feeling after such a freak accident,” the couple’s church told the Fort Myers News-Press.
