Ask most people the greatest songwriting duo of all time and the answer is probably pretty easy — The Beatles’ John Lennon and Paul McCartney. When you look at what they accomplished and the indelible mark they left on music it’s hard to argue that choice.
But there is one duo that at least belongs in the conversation with them — Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. For those unaware of their songwriting legacy it is astonishing.
